Something as simple as a necklace can have an extremely complex supply chain. I approached Sunday Oddities to create sourcing standards, find recycled plastic or glass alternatives to the beads already used, and found out that the company was interested in exploring responsible gold to add to their creative process and a future line.

This collaboration consisted mainly of a gap analysis, identifying responsible sourcing alternatives and the development of a business case for implementation.

Risks in plastics.

Issues like the pandemic, container shortages, winter weather, factory fires, the blocking of the Suez Canal by a container ship, and other logistics issues can have immense effects on the supplies of raw materials used to make plastic. Specifically polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), and monoethylene (MEG).

Recycled Glass Jewelry.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Responsible Gold.

Climate Neutral Certification.

I raised the option of approaching Climate Neutral to develop a plan to work toward carbon neutrality by measuring and offsetting 2022 emissions and reducing 2023 emissions involved in shipping.

For a company that relies almost exclusively on shipping, offsetting the carbon footprint to deliver customer products could be a meaningful step in the right direction.
